Real Friends Tell You The Truth

David was anointed as king… but his reality didn’t look like royalty. He wasn’t sitting on a throne — he was hiding in caves, running for his life, hunted by Saul. And yet Jonathan — Saul’s own son, the heir to the throne — chose God’s plan over his own position. Jonathan looked at David and said with his life: “I see the call of God on your life, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you don’t forget it.”
That’s the kind of friend we all need:
✨ The one who reminds us who we are when fear makes us forget.
✨ The one who chooses our calling over their own comfort.
✨ The one who covers us when the enemy comes in close.
✨ The one who tells you hard truths when you need it.
But here’s the deeper question: Am I becoming that kind of friend for someone else?
Because real friendship isn’t just coffee dates and good conversation (though I love that part). It’s covenant connection. It’s holding the line for what God has called them to. It’s speaking courage when they want to run. It’s saying: I won’t let you quit on what God has placed inside of you. If you’ve ever longed for these kinds of relationships — where faith, truth, and loyalty grow deep — that’s exactly what we’re cultivating inside E’s Greenhouse.
🌱 A place to get rooted, grow strong, and be surrounded by voices that protect the calling of God on your life.
